I made a decision about a month ago to quit drinking alcohol, for various reasons. Mainly because of the negative health benefits it has such as eventually causing breast cancer, liver disease, brain damage and even reproductivity complications. Not to mention it’s a thorn in the side when it comes to wanting to lose weight!
Now by no means am I heavy drinker, or ever have been in the last 6 years. I would only really drink on occasions. One day as I sat drinking at an occasion, I asked myself why? Why am I drinking? I am not drinking to get drunk, I don't particularly like the taste of alcohol, and if cocktails are my thing (which they were) I can just have a mocktail? No? So why am I over time slowly and intentionally damaging my health?

Like most recent dietary changes made in my life, alcohol is now one of them and I celebrate #WorldCocktailDay with this summery, refreshing and delicious Blackberry and Blueberry Lime Mocktail recipe. It's alcohol free and can be made in no time!
