Blueberry & Blackberry Breakfast Protein Smoothie

Good Morning!  Well I am hoping its a good morning for you! It certainly is for me. I am alive, kicking and ready to take on whatever the devil and his minions have in store for me today. That includes any thoughts and actions of unhealthy indulgences lol!  In aid of 'getting bride ready(and hopefully the foreseen future) we're back at the gym, (hooray!) and my thighs are on fire! BUT its all for a good cause, however being back at the gym means homemade protein smoothies and shakes galore, I used to make them so much, and to be honest I got a little sick of them. The love is back! and I made a really delicious one yesterday which I can't wait for you guys to try. 


Made with all natural ingredients, and filled to the brim with good, natural protein to help those muscles rebuild nicely.

TIP: Use flaxeeds when making a smoothie or sprinkle over porridge as they're very high in omega-3 fatty acids, known to keep your heart healthy, rich in fibre, vitamins and antioxidants.


Prep time: 1 minute

Serves: 2

Ingredients:

Hand full of frozen Blueberries & Blackberries

1tsp Organic Honey

1tsp Organic Cocoa Powder

2tsp of mulled Flaxeeds (Linseeds)

2tsp Organic Rolled Oats

Hand full of unsalted Cashew Nuts

1tsp Natural Peanut Butter

1 Organic Banana

Coconut Milk (or any milk)




Method: 

Slice the banana into chunks, and with the rest of the ingredients, add into a blender or smoothie maker, pour in the milk and blend. If you find that your smoothie to be on the thick side, add some more milk and blend again.
