Pescatarians, I haven't forgotten about you! As BBQ season is in full effect, just because you don't eat meat doesn't mean you have to miss out on the burger action too?
This simple but sweet honey dijon tuna steak in a toasted brioche bun is perfect for any BBQ menu and if you're not Tuna Steak fan you can try this with a salmon fillet. I chose tuna steak for the recipe as they contain a high amount of natural protein, around 23g which is great for muscle growth post gym. I get mine from the local fishmonger.
Prep Time: 5 mins
Cooking Time 10-12 mins
2 Tuna Steaks
2 tsp Dijon Wholegrain Mustard
3 tsp Honey
Pinch Black Pepper
1 tsp Fish Sauce
1/2 tsp Garlic Granules
1/2 Mixed Herbs
2 Brioche Buns
Watercress & Baby Spinach Salad
Things you'll need:
Small Mixing Bowl
Take a small mixing bowl and add the mustard, black pepper, honey, garlic granules, fish sauce and mixed herbs together. Mix till fully combined.
Using a pastry brush or your hands, taking generous amounts, thoroughly rub your seasoned mix onto your tuna steaks.
Grill on a medium to high heat for 5 - 6 minutes on each side.
Using a potato peeler, peel the cucumber and toast your brioche buns over the toaster for 15 - 30 seconds.
You can spread mayo in your brioche buns as tuna steaks can be a little dry, and layer the cucumber ribbons, tuna steak, top with the watercress & baby spinach and top with capers.
Serve with my Red Sweet Potato Wedges.
