Organic Apple and Cinnamon Oat Bars

 As you know, baking for me happens once in a blue moon and when I do, its usually just another rendition of my favourite banana cake/bread recipe. lol. But here we are trying something new and I will admit that these Organic Apple and Cinnamon Oat Bars are the perfect guilt-free indulgence for the week. 


I absolutely loved the quality of red organic apples sent to me by which you guys can get 10% off using my code ALEXIS10. They were so sweet, yet with a slight tang, I couldn't wait to use them and of course they cooked down beautifully. 

These little scrumptious things are perfect for gatherings, in the kids or hubbies lunch box, or you could just have them all to yourself really like I did lol. If you want to learn this easy peasy recipe, please do keep scrolling.

Cooking Time: 25 mins

Serves: 9



200g Organic Rolled Porridge Oats

80g Soft Dates

4 Red Organic Apples 

1/2 tsp Cinnamon Powder 

3 tbsp Organic Coconut Sugar 

3 tbsp Peanut Butter 

3 tbsp Honey /Agave Nectar 


What you'll need.


Square Baking Tin

Flat Baking Tray

Wooden Spoon 

Baking/Parchment Paper

Mixing Bowl

Food Processor 



Pre-heat oven 180° or Gas Mark 4

Lightly butter square baking tin. 



Peel and roughly cut your apples into a bowl along with the cinnamon and sugar. 

Toss and mix together. Place the baking paper onto the flat baking tray 

and then spread out the chopped apples evenly. Roast for 10 minutes. 


Whilst your apples are roasting, move on to make the oat bars. 

Add the oats, dates, peanut butter and honey into the food processor and 

pulse for a minute or so. Mix and mash further with a wooden spoon. 


Scoop mixture into the buttered baking tin evenly, leaving it rough then 

spread the roasted apples over the top and press into mixture. 

Bake 15 minutes. 

Once ready, set aside for 10 minutes before cutting and completely devouring.
